Hop joyously into your BMW. Just don't pull a muscle in doing so

Posted on Tue Oct 6 2009

Nothing makes middle-aged people limber up like a BMW. That's the idea behind this ad, which shows (mostly) 40-ish consumers stretching their muscles and literally jumping into their Beemers. With such fine German engineering, it's passé to just open the car door and get in. You have to jump in the side window, Dukes of Hazzard style, or propel yourself into the back hatch via your bicycle. I'm not sure exactly what they were going for here. A BMW makes you a kid again? A BMW has the power to restore buoyancy? If that's what you're looking for, why not start riding your bike to work? By the way, BMW: Thanks for not insulting our intelligence with those "Professional stuntman. Do not attempt" disclaimers.
