Hardee's 'Biscuit Holes' ads get lodged in some people's throats

It's nice to know people besides me thought the Hardee's "Biscuit Holes" ads were tasteless and stupid. But did those people have to be the Parents Television Council? The thought of agreeing with them about anything makes me uncomfortable. Nevertheless, their collective disgust with the campaign got Hardee's franchisee Bodie-Noell Enterprises to pull it from every market under its control. The original complaint was a letter from PTC president Tim Winter, who said "there is no possible way that this brainless biscuit hole promotion fits in with the personal and community decency standards espoused by Hardee's restaurants," a statement with which BNE strongly agreed. Hardee's is standing by the ads, stressing that they are "intended to communicate the core message of our premium quality food to our target audience of Young, Hungry Guys." In other words, don't hate on them just because they're bolstering their moronic base at the expense of all others.
