If you enjoyed National Corndog Day on Saturday, you're really going to love National Pretzel Day. On April 26, the Pretzelmaker and Pretzel Time franchises are celebrating the holiday by offering free soft pretzels at participating locations. "A snack that has been in existence for centuries is certainly worthy of a holiday," says Chris Dull, president of NexCen Franchise Management, which owns both franchises. There appears to be no shortage of food-related holidays. National Ice Cream Day is on deck for July 19, and National Cookie Day is Dec. 4. I'm still waiting for National Beef Jerky Day.
