MaggieMoo's scooping up tax-day incentive with free ice cream

Did we really expect advertisers to stop with the economy-themed promotions? No, we did not. The latest one comes courtesy of MaggieMoo's. The ice-cream chain is preparing an "e-CONE-omic" (groan) incentive for tax day, as it plans to dole out free scoops nationwide on April 15. MaggieMoo's, which prides itself on creating the first ice-cream cupcake, is not the first to go the free-cone route, however. Ben & Jerry's traditionally holds a free-cone day around April each year. But the MaggieMoo's promotion may be a welcome escape this year, as tax-weary, impecunious consumers feel the heat from the IRS.
